The world is rebuilding how it adopts innovation. Help us build it right.
The world's largest companies now buy through Microsoft Marketplace. We make sure the best innovation gets in, wherever it comes from, with a team built on shared context, candor, accountability and care.

Why we exist
The promise of Microsoft Marketplace is simple: customers meet real innovation, guided by Microsoft and its partners. The largest buyers have moved their software procurement from direct to marketplace.
Complexity broke that promise. Listing, co-selling with Microsoft's teams and closing deals through the marketplace is hard, and for most of the ecosystem nothing got easier.

How it began
WeTransact was founded in March 2023 by former Microsoft executives who had seen the marketplace promise from the inside, and seen how few software companies could actually reach it.
“When Dick, Juan-José and I started WeTransact, we did it because we saw first-hand the magnitude marketplace was going to take in our world and we truly felt the approach to market was broken.”
Doing it right out there starts with how we work in here.
Four behaviors, one test for every decision: does it make the marketplace work better for customers, sellers, partners and software companies? We hire, give feedback and grow people on these four.
We share context, freely.
Radical candor, with care.
Accountability over titles.
Success as a team.

Good decisions need the whole picture and the freedom to act on it.
So we share context by default, keep process to a minimum, and trust you to use that freedom well.
What you get
What we ask
Trust doesn't mean you're on your own: your manager and your team are there whenever you need them. The deal works when both sides hold.

Is WeTransact for you?
Knowing what a job is really like matters more than any perk. Here is ours, including the parts that won't suit everyone.
People who want to own something that matters.
You care more about the outcome than the title, you'd rather talk to a customer than about one, and you share what you learn so the next person moves faster.
One remote team across 15+ countries.
Someone's day often starts as yours ends, so written context and clean handoffs matter as much as any meeting. And we look after each other across those time zones.
Between software companies and Microsoft.
Our work sits between the software companies we serve and Microsoft's own teams, so you see the impact of what you do quickly.
Every day, in every role.
It's already part of our product, including AI-powered listing generation, and of how each team works, from engineering to hiring.

What we are not
Radical candor is one of our values, so here it is applied to ourselves.
Not always comfortable.
Candor means you hear early and directly when something isn't working. And you don't need to be the loudest voice to say it back.
Not a place with a manual.
Microsoft changes its programs often, so you'll regularly work things out as you go, with people around you who have done it before.
Not a place where seniority settles the debate.
Ideas are judged on their merits, not on who proposed them. That includes the moments when the better idea isn't yours.
Not a place to stay in your lane.
A small team means your work touches sales, customers and product.
Not on a funding clock.
Profitable from day one, without venture capital. We grow from what customers pay us, so there's no runway countdown and nobody outside can push us somewhere we didn't choose.

The best answer wins, wherever it comes from.
That's one of our values, and it applies to hiring too. A posting describes what the role needs, not a test to pass line by line. If you can do the core of the job, or you're clearly on your way there, we want to hear from you. The exercise and the recorded culture interview are there so your thinking counts more than your CV or how you come across.
Our team works across 15+ countries, and the marketplace we serve is global. The more backgrounds we bring, the better we understand the customers and partners on the other side. If you rarely see people like you in tech or sales, take that as a reason to apply, not a reason to hold back.
If anything in the process doesn't work for you, from the format of the exercise to the timing of an interview, tell us at hr@wetransact.io.

Values are only real if the people living them say so
Hear it from them.
Every open role shows its salary range.
You shouldn't have to spend three interviews finding out whether we can afford you. Your offer depends on the level we agree on together, and we'll explain how we got there.

Our hiring process, step by step
No mystery rounds. The steps vary a little by role, and each posting tells you which ones apply. Here is the full picture.
Apply
Through our job board. Your application reaches a real person on our team.
Exercise
A short, practical task close to the real work, so the role interview can go deep on how you think.
Role interview
With your future manager and a peer, starting from your exercise.
Culture interview
Two interviewers and a short case, assessing ownership, decision-making under ambiguity, and feedback and candor. With your consent we record it, so interviewers listen to you instead of taking notes.
Leader interview
For more strategic roles, a conversation with a member of the leadership team.
Offer
A clear offer with the level and the reasoning behind it.
Every applicant gets an answer
Yes or no, you won't be left waiting in silence.
Feedback at every step
After every exercise and every interview, we tell you what we saw and why we decided what we decided.
Your data, your consent
Recordings are only made with your agreement and used only to assess the interview.

Microsoft Marketplace, done right. We're not done yet.
Come build it with us. If you see yourself in this page, look at the open roles. If your role isn't there, write to hr@wetransact.io & tell us what you'd like to work on.
